Remarkable Women Lecture: The Secret to a Fulfilled Life
In the latest of our Remarkable Women Lecture series best-selling author and LEH alumna Tanith Carey reveals the importance of finding your personal 'spark' to live a rewarding life. The talk will take place on Monday 18 November 2019 at LEH School at 7pm.
Tanith Carey is the author of 10 books on subjects ranging from parenting to social history, such as The Friendship Maze, What’s My Child Thinking? and Taming The Tiger Parent.
As an award-winning journalist and former foreign correspondent, Tanith also writes opinion pieces and features for a wide range of publications all over the world, including The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The New Statesman.
In her talk, she will argue that discovering a personal ‘spark’ is essential to a fulfilled life for us and for our children. It can be musical, athletic, intellectual, academic or relational – anything from helping animals to growing and making things. The feeling of competence that comes from doing something you love can raise confidence levels exponentially, giving a sense of fulfilment that will sustain you from childhood to adulthood.
