Some of the comments from previous attendees:
“It was a wonderful trip down memory lane. It was uplifting listening to such an incredible calibre of music as an introduction, and so impressive to see how the School has evolved and grown and yet still maintains the same ethos and character at its core.”
Gemma Sherlock, Class of 1999
“It was such a lovely day and although I had barely seen anyone for 60 years it seemed just like yesterday! The music, students, lunch, updates to the school and delightful tour guides were outstanding. It's great to see the School thriving so well.”
Liza Viner-Brady, Class of 1964
“Great to see former classmates and a giggle to see the old whole school photos. Hadn't seen some of the girls in 40 years!!”
Victoria Mattimore, Class of 1985
“It felt exactly the right mix of opportunities to chat with old friends and get a sense of school life today. I especially enjoyed the lunch and the tour. The sing-song was also a lot of fun, and I was in awe at the talents of the musicians. I can't think how the format of the day could have been improved. The organisation was excellent!”
Caroline Davis, Class of 2000
"It was wonderful to be welcomed back into school by the Head Mistress and some of the current delightful sixth formers. Meeting up with other retired staff and former pupils was such a joy."
Mary Beardwood, former 3rd Mistress and PE teacher
“It was so good to have a look around and to see so many old teachers. The school is so impressive, in many ways just the same and then suddenly disorientating in how different it is. A wonderful trip to the past and comforting for it to feel so much a part of my fabric.”
Jo Kirkland, Class of 1998
"As a current student at the school, I felt excited and intrigued by the stories that came along with each individual I met; tales of laughter and fond memories of past years at LEH across numerous generations, yet all sharing the common connection to our community at the school. Being present at the reunion felt inviting and warm, watching the welcoming of old friendships and the budding of newfound connections, the atmosphere was certainly special."
