Former LEH Star Ana Martin, Now on Netflix

From sitting A'Level English to filming the lead in a new Netflix series, it's all in a day work, for Ana Martin.
LEH Alumnae Ana Martin – who was a regular star in LEH productions such as Westside Story, Anything Goes, Peter Pan or Les Misérables – is now appearing in one of the lead roles of a major new Netflix series about teenage vampires called Heirs of the Night.

The trailer has just been unveiled on You Tube.  https://youtu.be/umU3edwBF44

Filming for the 13 episodes took place place in Croatia, Latvia and Norway and coincided with Ana’s A’Levels.  She was able to combine the two with her usual determination and aplomb.

“I remember being was pulled out of the sea from filming an underwater scene literally 20 minutes before my English exam.  I was dried off by multiple people, driven to my exam location and arrived just in the nick of time to sit the exam. And then, after my exam, I had to go back and carry on filming the scene underwater which was of course an exhausting and crazy day!

“Other than that, the main challenges were just that I had a very busy schedule, on set on most days at around 9am and getting off set at about 10pm, giving me little time to revise and also having to shoot for half days before and after taking exams which was tiring but also a lot of fun!”

The resulting film Heirs Of The Night is set in 1889 and tells the story about the five remaining vampire clans in Europe who are training to survive. In their midst is Alisa who has the power to choose between eternal life as a vampire or for all vampires to live as humans.
