There is a special kind of joy in seeing our alumnae walk back through the doors of LEH. The classrooms may feel familiar, but so much has happened since they were pupils themselves. They return with stories to tell, experiences to share and new horizons to open up for the next generation of LEH students.
Maddy Nutt, Class of 2016, joined Sixth Formers to explore how language skills can shape a career. Who would have imagined that studying A-level Spanish might one day lead to invitations to gravel races in South America? Her story was a wonderful reminder that sometimes the most unexpected paths lead to the greatest adventures. Watch our interview with Maddy.
For Wellbeing Day, Priya Venusian, Class of 1997, brought a little of her creative world to LEH, teaching students to make beautiful sari keyrings inspired by her designs for her company, Pri Pri. Priya is offering LEH alumnae an exclusive 10% discount using the code LEH10 at checkout.
Emily Phillips, Class of 2021, returned to share her journey into theatre directing, giving students a glimpse into the possibilities of a career in the arts. Emily is currently producing Colour and Light, a candlelit celebration of Stephen Sondheim’s music, featuring beautiful arrangements for piano and strings. [Find out more]
We were also delighted to welcome Amie Brian, Class of 2022, who spoke to aspiring writers about her career and novel, Bitter on the Tongue, recently shortlisted for a literary prize. Her visit offered a glimpse of what can happen when a passion nurtured at school grows into something remarkable.
Each visit brings the LEH story full circle. Our alumnae leave with memories of their own school days, forge their paths in the wider world, and return to share what they have learnt along the way. In doing so, they remind our students that the future is full of possibility, that there is no single path to success, and that wherever life takes them, they will always have a place in the LEH community.
