Joint FSI Networking Event 2019

A diverse mix of guests attended, from grads working in entry level posts, to the chairman of one of the largest professional services firms in the world.
Alumni from both LEH and Hampton Schools, who are now working in the fast-paced world of Financial Services, joined a strong turnout of enthusiastic Sixth Form students, all bursting with questions, at a joint Networking Event in the City on 12 September 2019.

The successful event was kindly hosted by PwC.  Chairman Kevin Ellis, who is both an LEH and Hampton parent, told the guests: “In this world of social media, when you think you have lots of connections, there is still nothing more important than the face-to-face connections you make at events like these.”  He went on to emphasise that some of the closest contacts in his network had been made while he was still at school and university.

Alumnae attending from LEH represented a range of top FS institutions including PwC, KPMG, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays Wealth and Citi Bank.  They were quizzed about their roles and the hot topics facing the industry by Sixth Form students who are interested in a career in the City.

The event was held at The Brigade Bar and Kitchen, a social enterprise bar and restaurant run by PwC, which provides opportunities in the food industry for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
