Beyond the Traditional: Celebrating Every Path to Success

LEH Futures celebrates diverse alumnae journeys, showing success comes through many routes: work, business, study, or lifelong learning.

While many still choose to take their next steps at university after leaving school, not every career journey begins in this way. The world of what comes next after Sixth Form has evolved, and we’re excited to celebrate the work of our Futures Department at LEH, which is dedicated to helping students in our Sixth Form and beyond find the path that’s right for them.

Many sectors and industries have evolved and developed in the last decade, with innovations in technology, research and understanding, as well as some significant social, cultural and geopolitical changes. Our Futures Department, formerly known as Higher Education and Careers, wants to embrace all facets of life after school and support LEH pupils with all stages of their future – whatever shape this may take.

We’d love to share more stories of alumnae who have carved out inspiring careers through alternative routes: whether that’s jumping straight into the world of work, launching a business, making a career change, or pursuing higher education later in life. If you’ve taken a different or varied path and found success and personal fulfilment, we want to hear from you!

You can contact us as futures@lehs.org.uk. The LEH Futures Department is proud to champion all alumnae stories, because every journey matters and gives our current students ideas and first-hand stories that challenge assumptions and debunk myths, demonstrating that the path to success can come in many different forms.

Please do get in touch to tell us how your future is taking shape, or if you have a fellow alumna who has taken an alternative route, please do share this post with her and encourage her to reach out to us.  Together we can show the world that LEH alumnae reach far and wide through a variety of routes!
