She plays a character called Karen Childless in Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the prequel to the multi-award-winning cult TV show, which ran for four seasons on Netflix, and opens at the Phoenix Theatre on 17 November.

The show marks Netflix’s first venture into the world of theatre and promises to expand the show's mythology and stagecraft, setting new standards in theatrical storytelling.

Stranger Things, set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, premiered on Netflix in 2016. The series follows a group of young friends entangled in a supernatural conspiracy involving government experiments, alternate dimensions, and terrifying otherworldly creatures.

This gripping new adventure will take the audience right back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story – and may hold the key to the end. Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister won’t take his radio show seriously and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get the hell out of town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family finds that a fresh start isn’t so easy… and the shadows of the past have a very long reach.

Florence went on to study at LAMDA after leaving school.  She was star of many an LEH production during her time here, including Anything Goes, Westside Story and Welcome to Thebes. We are sure she will be a West End sensation and wish her every success!
