BE BOLD GRANT

As part of our mission to extend the support of LEH well beyond the classroom, and in the spirit of the school motto, Hope Favours the Bold, we invite former pupils looking to take on a new challenge to apply for a Be Bold Grant.

Grants are awarded once a year, in November, by the AAG (Alumnae Advisory Group), which is made up of volunteer past pupils who represent a range of ages and experiences.

The Be Bold Grant upholds the School’s practice of encouraging pupils to have the confidence to try something new, to step beyond their comfort zone and risk failure in order to learn and grow.

It is open to an enterprising former LEH student, of any age, who would benefit from the support of the LEH alumnae network to explore a new interest, try something different or undertake a special project with a focus on giving back and benefitting the local community or beyond. The grant is not available to fund an on-going scheme of study, or any form of further education, elective or work placement.

Each year we hope to make one or two grants available, up to a maximum of £1,000. Applications are made by completing the online form to explain why the funding is needed, what impact it will have, and a breakdown of how you’d put the money to use.

If you’re successful we ask recipients to keep us updated about their project and write a story about how things turn out and what they learned, to inspire the next generation of bold alumnae.

Applications for 2024 are now open and will close on Friday 1st November 2024. We look forward to hearing your fearless plans.

If you have any questions, please email us at alumnae@lehs.org.uk.
