Sophie says: “It’s been brilliant to produce the new series of Radio 1’s Decompression Session. The music is so soothing and the sessions are full of handy tips and tricks to help manage your mindset. My favourite episode so far has got to be the Lo-fi Focus Mix, which starts with a calming breathing exercise, hosted by our presenter Stuart Sandeman. Lo-fi is such a great genre for keeping relaxed and in the zone, and I really hope people love it - especially during revision and exam season!”
Each episode includes an amazing mix of chilled music alongside tools to help manage your mindset. The sessions are hosted by Stuart Sandeman, who specialises in breathwork, mindfulness and music to help with people’s mental health. They are broadcast on Radio 1 and Radio 1 Relax every Monday at 2am, and you can find them on BBC Sounds.
The latest titles include ‘Dealing with deadlines’, ‘Keeping calm in uncertain times’, ‘Max your morning’, ‘Managing anxiety out and about’, and a special ‘Lo-Fi Focus Mix’ to help people focus on work, revision or just to kick back and relax to.
