Oxford University Lowdown

We were delighted to be joined by a very special guest at the recent Oxford University Lunch: Old Hamptonian Edward Mason. He joined other alumni being quizzed by L6 pupils about undergraduate life.

Edward is the brother of another LEH alumna, Emily Mason, Class of 2018, who is currently on a gap year and has just returned from her travels. Edward left Hampton last year and is studying English at Lincoln College.

Along with several of our former pupils, he was quizzed by current Sixth Formers who are completing their UCAS applications. They were buzzing with questions about college life, course selection, sporting opportunities, and so much more.

A huge LEH thank you to him, and to our incredible alumnae who came along. There were:  Amelie Jeannon, Class of 2023, studying Biological Sciences, Jesus College, Tina Taylor, Class of 2022, reading English at Corpus Christi College, Ella Heger, Class of 2021, studying Medicine, St Anne’s and Jade Fricot, Class of 2022, who is taking Chemistry at St Catherine’s.

The lunch was Head of Chemistry, Andrew Hayter’s, last as he will be leaving LEH at the end of the academic year for a new role overseas. He said: “It has been a real privilege to have been Oxbridge Coordinator at LEH for the past nine years and an Oxbridge Mentor for four years before that, helping to give advice and support to our students applying to Oxford or Cambridge. I've also really enjoyed attending the Alumnae lunches over that time and finding out how our former students have been thriving and loving their time at university.”

If you are logged into your Holles Connect account, you will be able to see more photos of the lunch below.
