Six weeks at sea, rowing non-stop day and night and covering a distance of 2,800 miles across the perilous waters of the Atlantic Ocean – it’s a truly epic undertaking.  Come and hear first-hand how two of our alumnae, and their teammate with incurable cancer, not only completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge earlier this year, but shattered the world record by seven days, to become the fastest female trio ever to make the crossing.

Tickets cost £15, or £5 for over 70s and under 18s. All proceeds go to the Bursary Fund. Tickets are on sale here: https://www.hollesconnect.org.uk/event/remarkable-women-lecture-rowing-for-victory

LEH Head of Rowing Abby Johnston, Class of 2007, Charlotte Irving, Class of 2008, and their friend Kat Cordiner, learnt an awful lot about themselves and how to work together as a team as they took part in the world’s toughest row.  Sea sickness, hallucinations, calluses, dolphins, shooting stars, bathroom buckets, stunning sun rises and a personal message from the real Dolly Parton, all will be revealed.

The team is raising funds for three cancer charities.  To make a donation, please click here:  https://www.weareextraoardinary.com/donate
