Actress Anastasia Martin, Class of 2018, is currently starring in The Land of the Living at the National Theatre.
Set in the aftermath of the Second World War, The Land of the Living explores the varied experiences of that era through emotionally charged storytelling. Featuring a stellar cast and directed by Stephen Daldry, the production has received excellent reviews. Anastasia’s portrayal of Theresa has been particularly praised for capturing the trauma and moral complexity of post-war life.
It is hard to believe that Anastasia was treading the boards at LEH only seven years ago. Look how far she has already come!
Her teacher, Head of Drama, Sophie Torrent, said:
“Anastasia was an absolute joy to teach. Having studied both GCSE and A Level Drama, she fully immersed herself in school productions, with standout roles in Mack and Mabel and Welcome to Thebes. We have followed her career with pride, from Heirs of the Night to Little Women, and we are absolutely thrilled to see her now at the iconic National Theatre. We cannot wait to see the production and continue cheering her on.”
So do not delay. Go and watch Anastasia in action before 2 November.
