Hitting The Right Note for Christmas

Director of Music Miranda Ashe and composer Brendan Ashe are holding an amazing musical auction full of money-can't-buy prizes in aid of the Bursary Fund, to mark their 14 years at the school so far.

Mrs Ashe says: "“The theme of the auction of promises is “If music be the food of love, play on” and we are delighted to offer a truly spiffing selection of top-class lots which would make the most perfectly unique Christmas presents – from professional recording sessions to opera singing lessons, and from a hamper of delicious bread to your very own recital from a concert pianist. Please dig deep! We don’t want to let these auction prizes go for a song as all proceeds are going to our Bursary Fund."

To see the exciting lots on offer and to place your bids, please visit our auction website here: Holles Forever Auction - Lady Eleanor Holles School (lehs.org.uk)

All funds raised by the auction and by the concert will go to our Bursary Fund.  We are proud to currently support 73 students, most of them holding 100% bursaries which not only cover the fees of the students throughout their time at LEH, but also associated costs. Demand for bursaries is higher than ever and we have set ourselves the ambitious target of supporting 100 pupils by 2025.

The second part of their splendid 14 year celebrations will be a reunion concert called Holles Forever! Tickets for the event on Saturday 17 December are already on sale here: https://www.hollesconnect.org.uk/event/holles-singers-the-reunion

It will feature the massed voices of the Holles Singers, past and present, as you've never heard them before. They will be singing all the top hits from yesteryear, including medleys from Chicago, Cabaret, Spector, Sassitude, Britmashe, plus Ederlezi and Red Hair.

The evening will build to a nostalgic climax as the massed singers join together in a wonderful rendition of the all-time favourite Star in the Sky.  Not a dry eye in the house, guaranteed. Tickets cost £15.  To buy your tickets, please click here: https://www.hollesconnect.org.uk/event/holles-singers-the-reunion

As we say Thank you for the Music, Mrs and Mr Ashe, please hit the right note by supporting these very special celebrations of their magnificent time at LEH so far.
