Maddy gets gold

We have a brand new LEH alumna European champion, as Maddy Nutt won a gold medal at the duathlon championships in Punta Umbría this weekend (March 8/9 2020).
A huge LEH shout-out to champion runner and cyclist Maddy Nutt (LEH 2014-2016) who described taking part in the championships as "the most incredible experience".

We are especially proud of her as Maddy was one of our Emerging Talent Award winners, and put the prize money to good use to help fund her place in the competition.

After the win she said: "My first time competing for GB and I took home the gold in the 20-24 AG and finished 10th female overall, a performance beyond anything I could have imagined. Not sure whether being a European champion has sunk in yet!"

Many congratulations Maddy. We're cheering you on.
