From the busy corporate world to becoming an entrepreneur and launching a small business, Katy, Class of 1998, shows us that life after children can help you find a whole new beginning. We caught up with Katy to learn about how LEH gave her the confidence and tools to transition into being her own boss.
Katy said: “My time at LEH gave me a strong sense of independence, resilience, and self-belief, qualities that have proved invaluable throughout my life. After starting a family and juggling a full-time career in wealth management, it was the confidence and mindset instilled in me during those formative years that gave me the courage to launch my own, creative business.”
Now in its third year, EARLEY+DAUGHTERS is a small-batch candle producer that creates cruelty free candles with a sustainable ethos. All candles are 100% plastic free, zero waste which is made from recycled and upcycled materials.
Katy has found building an award-winning candle brand from the ground up whilst raising two daughters to be both challenging and incredibly rewarding: “I often reflect on how lucky I was to have had those early experiences at school which gave me the values and determination I rely on today. I have such fond memories of my school days; LEH was a place that both challenged and supported me, and the friendships I formed while there are still a huge part of my life today.”
Luckily for us EARLEY+DAUGHTERS are offering an exclusive 10% off the full candle cost to for all alumnae. Just use LEH Code: LEH10.
