Welcome to the Alumnae, Class of 2026!

Congratulations, Class of 2026, and welcome to the LEH alumnae! It feels like only yesterday you were finding your feet in the corridors, and now you've gone and finished school. We're so proud of you. Wherever you're heading next, whether that's university, a job, a gap year, or simply a bit of time to work things out, you're taking a lot with you: the friendships, the in-jokes, and everything you've learnt along the way. Please know you've got a whole community of LEH women behind you, and we're cheering you on every step of the way. Do keep in touch, and don't be a stranger. We can't wait to hear what you get up to when you come back for your Class of 2026 reunion next year!  

And to the rest of you, whichever year you left, this is a lovely moment to pause and remember. You've all stood where the Class of 2026 is standing now: slightly dazed, a little bit proud, and not quite sure what happens when the bell stops ringing. 

LEH has been shaping girls since 1710, and since our move to the current site in 1930, generations of young women have hurried along the same corridors, each convinced they were the first to think of a particular joke. Some of you remember life before the Houses arrived in 2012; others have only ever known the fierce loyalty of Holles, Fitzwillam, Tyrconnel and De Vere. 

Do you remember the mad dash when you were running late? Lacrosse matches in the rain? The friendships that began in the cloakroom and somehow survived university, moves, jobs and children? The teachers who spotted something in us long before we did? And the floor outside the Nora Nicholl's hall, which hasn't changed one bit since 1930. 

LEH gave you a place to grow, people who believed in you, and a sense that you belonged to something bigger.  

So as we welcome the Class of 2026, we'd love to hear from you. Share your favourite memories, dig out those old photos, and come and join us for the annual Alumnae Reunion this year. We suspect a few stories will get better with each telling.
