Making More #TimeTogether

Women in Sport CEO Stephanie Hilborne OBE, Class of 1986, is calling on mums and daughters to be active throughout October, and to try out new and fun activities together.

She says: “Our research shows that many teenage girls value time with their mothers in a safe place away from what can become toxic social media communications.  And what better way to put a relationship on to a new footing of equals than to be outside running together or cycling or playing a game?

“Plus, women in midlife often need just this type of incentive to get active.  There’s so much pressure on them to put their own needs last.  Please do support our campaign to get mothers and teenage daughters, nieces and aunts active together.”

Women in Sport’s #TimeTogether campaign is supported by several high-profile organisations including England Netball, England Ruby, British Cycling and the Wildlife Trusts.  Take a look at some of the ways you can get active and reconnect by clicking here: https://www.womeninsport.org/timetogether/
