LEH is for Life, Not Just for Christmas!

There has been a wonderful response to our 12 Days of Giving email and social media campaign, which this year has taken a much-loved Christmas carol and given it a unique LEH twist.

So far the 12 Days of LEH Christmas have seen Barney, the school dog, in a festive pose beneath a fir tree, while teachers and pupils have really entered into the spirit dressing up variously as elves, angels, turkeys, stars, reindeers and more!

“It’s always my favourite fundraising campaign of the year,” says Jenny Blaiklock, Director of Development and Communications at LEH, who will be retiring at the end of term. “It really seems to unite the whole LEH community, bringing a smile to people’s faces while raising money for our Bursary Fund. I love the way the alumnae engage with the fun of it. We are very grateful to everyone who donates and shares our belief in the value of an LEH education.  LEH is for life, not just for Christmas!”

The entries to competitions and quizzes have been flooding in.  If you haven’t done so already, please check out the enchanting photos of LEH pets dressed in all their Christmas finery on the LEH Instagram account here. Among the delights there is a hamster sporting tiny antlers, a litter of seven adorable Labradors, a wide selection of long-suffering dogs wearing an impressive array of festive headware and even cats hiding in Christmas trees.
