All Fine at The Refinery Drinks!

It was wonderful to meet up with so many of our alumni again at the buzzing Joint Networking Event with Hampton School at The Refinery, Bankside, last month.

Spirits were running high as people greeted each other warmly, after a two-year pandemic induced hiatus. There was a real buzz of excitement and a great turnout of former pupils from both LEH and Hampton Schools.

Head Mistress Heather Hanbury and Head Master Kevin Knibbs were in attendance, chatting happily to their former pupils.  It was standing room only, as the many guests made the most of the plentiful food and drink.

The event was tinged with sadness for some, as it’s the last alumnae event for Alison Matthews in her capacity as Head of Careers and Economics, as she takes early retirement after 30 years at LEH.  Many of the alumnae had come specially to bid her a fond farewell. She will be much missed by all, but we are looking forward to welcoming her as an alumna in the future.
