She joined its sister company Google in 2011 as part of its creative agency team and has since worked in various executive positions. Most recently, she was MD of finance, automotive, marketplaces & travel.
In her new role, she will be tasked with liaising with Government and Policy makers to ensure YouTube continues to improve its online safety efforts, as well as forging and maintaining partnerships with world leading creators, producers, partners and broadcasters.
Alison says: “I am excited to have kicked off the year with a new role as MD of YouTube UK and Ireland. A role that is the culmination of all my passion points across creativity, diversity, and politics and 25 plus years of experience in media. And one which has now given me an inkling of credibility from my teenagers. I’m looking forward to making sure YouTube remains a major force in the creator economy, giving diverse British talent a platform to thrive.”
