Keeping the Spirit of LEH Alive

Drum roll please! We're now accepting applications for our new Be Bold Grant – which replaces the Emerging Talent Award – and is specifically designed to encourage alumnae to take on new challenges.

In the spirit of the school motto, Hope Favours the Bold, we invite former pupils looking to take on a new challenge to Be Bold and apply for the Be Bold Grant 2023. The grant is awarded by the Alumnae Advisory Group (AAG) which is made up of nine former pupils, who between them represent our remarkable community of former students, with the most senior member from the Class of 1955 right through to the youngest from the Class of 2010.

Vivienne Hay, from the Class of 2010, says: “We’ve been very impressed by the high standards of applications for the Emerging Talent Award in recent years, but many of them were looking for funding for academic endeavours or professional development, which can often be supported elsewhere.  We wanted to encourage a more enterprising spirit with a focus on social impact or giving back to the community, more in line with the ethos and original purpose of LEH. The AAG is really looking forward to seeing what this new focus brings this autumn.”

The new grant is open to any former LEH student who would benefit from the support of fellow alumnae.  To see the full criteria and find the application form please visit the Be Bold Grant page on Holles Connect or click here. The deadline for applications is Friday 3 November 2023 and grants are usually made available shortly after.

Good luck to everyone who applies.  If you have any questions about the grant, please email: alumnae@lehs.org.uk.
