Going the Extra Mile

Tax Counsel Kaz Williamson, Class of 2010, has been out pounding the pavements as part of her new training regime to run the London Marathon in April.

“I’m running for a great charity, Alzheimer's Research UK, which has a close personal connection to me and does vital work focusing on early diagnosis and treatment of dementia.

“I would really appreciate any donations to this great cause. Wish me luck with the training too as there is still a long way to go!”

Alzheimer's Research UK is one of the UK's leading dementia research charities, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cure. Backed by scientists and supporters alike, the charity is challenging the way people think about dementia, uniting the big thinkers in the field and funding innovative science.

The charity primarily invests in research projects with the aim of finding a cure. The hope is to make sufficient advances in research to make this a reality, as it’s currently estimated that one in two of us in the UK will be directly affected by dementia.

For more information please see their website: https://dementiastatistics.org/about-dementia/.

Kaz adds: “All donations will go directly to Alzheimer's Research UK and any donations, no matter now large or small, will be very gratefully received, and will give me that extra bit of motivation for the difficult training miles!”

If you’d like to show Kaz some LEH love, please make a donation on her Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/katherine-williamson-1692974935532.
