LEH 80s Pupils Caught on Camera

Calling the Class of 1985! Tanith Carey (nee Mukerjee) is offering you a chance to take a trip down memory lane with a treasure trove of Polaroid photos she’s uncovered from her LEH school days.

Tanith, seen here in a pair of red dungarees, is now an award-winning journalist and author.  She kindly dug out the school snaps after we contacted her about her latest book – What’s My Tween Thinking? – which is published this month.  Please see the separate news story for details.

“I’ve dug out a few very old pictures of my LEH school days,” says Tanith who attended LEH from 1978-1980. “I think they were all taken on one day, not long before I left, which was a sad day.  It was quite novel to have a Polaroid camera in those days.  And they really are very evocative. The other ones are me at my birthday party and me getting my homework out of my satchel!”

Please get in touch if you are in the photos and would like to share your memories.  We really love seeing your old school pics, so if you've got a collection at home, please do send them in.  Our email is: alumnae@lehs.org.uk.

If you are logged into your Holles Connect account, you will be able to see the full gallery of Tanith’s photos below, including a recent one of her.
