Support our Alumnae Playing Lacrosse for England

Two former LEH pupils have been selected to play for England's Senior Women's Lacrosse team in the upcoming World Championships in the US at the end of June.

Now aged 22, Georgie Southorn (Attack), from the Class of 2018, who is on the graduate programme at KPMG, and 21-year-old medical student Charlie Wilson (Defence), from the Class of 2019, were members of the LEH lacrosse team that won the National Schools in 2018.

Both won their first Senior England caps v Puerto Rico in January 2022 and also represented England in the recent Home Internationals, hosted in Edinburgh, which England won and in which Georgie was awarded U24 Player of the Series. They had previously represented England at U19 level, including at the U19 Women's Lacrosse World Championships in 2019 in Canada.

The team are still entirely self-funded and are juggling full time jobs / studying with training as an elite athlete, so we are calling on fellow alumnae to show their support via their GoFundMe page:https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-team-england-lacrosse-get-to-the-world-cup.

All money raised goes towards costs such as tournament entry, flights, accommodation, kit, food etc for the duration of the event.

If you donate and put ‘raffle’ in the comments, you will be allocated raffle tickets to win numerous great prizes including: concert tickets, gym passes, champagne, experience days and many more! Tickets are £3 each or £12 a strip.
